Riding the Alaska Railroad’s Denali Star Train from Fairbanks, just getting to the national park is a grand adventure. Over roughly four hours, you’ll take in one of the country’s most scenic train routes from your reserved seat, learning about Alaskan history from your onboard guide. At the terminus, you’re dropped off adjacent to the visitor center, where you can start your Denali exploration.

What To Expect
This route starts in Fairbanks, taking you through Interior Alaska with majestic views of the Alaska Range in nearly all directions. Watch for views of Denali as the train winds along Healy Canyon, following the curves of the Nenana River below until you reach Denali National Park.

• Arrive Denali at 12:10 pm
• Explore Denali on your own, accommodations booked separately and at own expense
