What To Expect
We meet you 4.5 miles east of Homer to begin your tour. You will enjoy a scenic SUV ride along the shoreline of Kachemak Bay with majestic views of the Kenai Mountain range and its glaciers. At the end of the road, we will drive onto the beach and past the Russian Old Believer village of Voznesenka to a beautiful horse ranch where our AirRanger and Argo are based. A short ride from the beach across the tide flats in the Argo will deliver you to the airboat. From there we explore the edge of the tidal flats and the three pristine rivers that flow into the head of Kachemak Bay, the Fox, the Sheep, and the Bradly River. We often see seals, eagles, and moose in addition to the stunning wilderness we are passing though. There are no other guides sharing this area with visitors, and we will enjoy this piece of Alaskan wilderness exclusively with our small group, a maximum of 6 passengers. The time on the airboat is about 2 hours.
The total time from your day for this adventure is 4.5-5 hours.
